Understand customer complaints—and see what informed the prediction.

Make years of clinic records easier to understand.

InsightPulse demo opening: “Know what customers complain about. And why the model thinks so.”
Internship tracker demo opening: sixteen fictional records grouped by current status: To review, In progress, Offer and Closed.
Campus health dashboard demo, labelled as synthetic: monthly columns of dots, one per synthetic appointment record, from 2019 to 2025.
Portfolio Risk Analytics demo opening on a labelled example portfolio, showing growth of one dollar above a baseline and the drawdown below it.

Selected work

Four projects, end to end.

I’m the only contributor to all four repositories. Each has a live demo, its code, and a write-up of the decisions behind it.

01 · Machine learning · Evaluation

InsightPulse

Understand customer complaints—and see what informed the prediction.

Classifies complaint themes, highlights contributing words, and routes uncertain predictions for review.

Engineering decision

Review where it helps. I chose the 0.40 review threshold on 2019 validation data. It flags about 36% of the 2019 test set and catches about 63% of its errors. An earlier 0.65 rule flagged 76% of records, which made it useless for triage.

Live InsightPulse result for a sample complaint: theme Fees & interest at 38% confidence, marked Needs review because it is below the 0.40 threshold. The words fee (+0.92), charged (+0.50), late (+0.18) and was applied (+0.06) are highlighted as contributions to the label.
Live result from the public demo, for a sample complaint written for this portfolio. Word scores are the linear model’s feature contributions toward this theme, not an explanation of cause.

02 · Systems · Automation

Internship Discovery & Application Tracker

Find opportunities. Keep track of what happens next.

Screens internship postings and brings application stages and email updates into one workflow.

Engineering decision

Explainable scoring over ML. Scores come from a deterministic rule engine, so every score and every rejection carries a stated reason I can audit.

Tracker demo record for a fictional Meridian Software Engineering Intern posting: current status Assessment, from mailbox inference; profile match 63 out of 100; reasons include target term summer 2027, role match software engineering, skills python, java, backend and api, and location New York; two fictional mailbox updates, applied on October 4 and assessment on October 5, 2026.
From the public demo: a fictional posting’s screening reasons, its stage inferred from mailbox activity, and the email events behind it. No real applications appear in the demo.

03 · Data · Public health

SHS Campus Health Dashboard

Make years of clinic records easier to understand.

Reconciles inconsistent exports into readable reporting. The public demo uses synthetic data.

Engineering decision

One canonical model. The pipeline handles mixed date formats, diagnosis codes vs. free text, and “Gender Identity” vs. “Gender” headers explicitly, rather than assuming every year has the same columns.

Synthetic demo chart of appointment outcomes by calendar year: 2023, 76% completed, 13% canceled, 12% no-show; 2024, 77%, 12% and 11%; 2025 (January to June), 78%, 10% and 12%.
From the public demo, built entirely from synthetic data: what happened to booked appointments each year. Status exists only from 2023 onward, so earlier years cannot be split this way.

04 · Backend · Financial data

Portfolio Risk Analytics

See the risk behind the return.

Explores historical performance, drawdowns, volatility, and correlations for a selected stock portfolio.

Engineering decision

Refuse to fill gaps. An interior gap returns MISSING_DATA instead of being dropped or forward-filled. Dropping the date would turn a multi-day move into one “daily” return.

Example portfolio chart from 2023 to 2025: growth of one dollar above a baseline and the fall from the running peak below it. The deepest fall, −26.9% on April 8, 2025, recovered past its December 17, 2024 peak on August 8, 2025.
Precomputed example in the public demo (40% AAPL, 35% MSFT, 25% GOOG, held 2023–2025): growth of $1 above the line, fall from the running peak below. Historical analysis, not investment performance.

About

I study computer science and public health at Stetson, with a minor in civic engagement. My work sits where they meet: information that matters but is hard to use.

In each role below I started by learning what the people using the data needed. Then I built the smallest thing that answered it, tested it, and wrote down where it stops being reliable.

How AI fits into my workflow

AI is part of how I build. I use coding agents for implementation and code review, and I run them inside harnesses with feedback loops so they check their own work and each other’s. For a bug fix, the agent first writes a test that reproduces the bug and fails, so it can’t claim to fix something it never reproduced.

Nothing is accepted on trust. I review and test every change myself, rely on end-to-end tests that show real behavior, and remove the low-value tests agents tend to pile up.

Stetson Health ServicesIntern · Jan–May 2026

Worked with clinic staff to identify reporting bottlenecks and define requirements for privacy-conscious reporting. I also supported data analysis, documentation and patient intake. The campus health dashboard came out of this work, and staff used it to review data that had only existed as raw exports.

Good Samaritan ClinicClinic Support Intern · Aug–Dec 2025

Migrated more than 250 paper-based records into an SQLite database, improving access speed by 25%. I built a Python system with automated validation checks and audited the migrated records against the source documents, reaching 99% field accuracy.

Stetson ColorStackTechnical Lead · Aug 2026–present

Lead coding and technical learning sessions for Black and Latinx computer science students, and share the tools and practices I find useful.
